Already producing 10 million feet of garden hoses per week, the global demand for Swan Hose Products isn’t slowing down. As their customer base grows, the volume of orders is increasing along with the need to process more shipments. To fulfill their customers’ needs, Swan Hose Products required a larger, cost effective facility solution to expand existing operations in Waco, Texas. An addition would provide warehouse space for storage of raw materials directly onsite, eliminating use of a third-party logistics company, yet increasing production turn-around of manufactured goods. Also, the additional square footage allows for new product lines.
BCCG researched the Client’s needs and developed a solution using a Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) system, which provides cost savings and a fully functional facility within an accelerated time frame.
Constructed as two separate PEMB additions to match the existing building, the manufacturing and warehouse spaces combined total 294,000 SF, and includes 18 new dock doors and a larger dock area for semi-trucks. The expansion also consists of a 4,500 SF administration office with training rooms, conference rooms, a break room, and managerial offices, doubling the existing office size.
The larger space allows Swan Hose Products a durable, high-quality facility solution, and also creates many new jobs for the community.
